The Lodge Arts Centre artists working in partnership with Havant Borough Council and users of Havant Skate Park created a series of murals on the skate park walls in 2001. This project was first talked about with Kevin Edwards from Road Runner Dispatch 10 years previously.

Our aim was to create a colourful and aesthetically pleasing mural for the benefit of the local community of Havant and visitors. We provided a modern street art landscapes for the skate park users to encourage interest and subsequent ownership of their local environment.

The project involved the local community at every stage of development, from the initial ideas stage, through to the design stage and finally the actual painting.

Artists involved were

Mark Lewis

Mark Poyner

and two others who I have forgotten their names (please contact us:)
