You can be part of Portsmouth’s most famous public artwork

strand-mural-donation

The Strand city map mural is a living mural and is constantly evolving. As far as we know this is a first for public art, a unique concept that could be replicated in every city by local artists. This is why it is the only for-ever changing mural in the world as we come back every year to add more detail.

Vital maintenance and updates take place over the spring and summer period each year – and this is when additions to the mural are made. And for just a small fee – people and businesses from Portsmouth can become part of this living landmark.

Personal additions – from £75

£75 qualifies you to be immortalised by being painted into the mural, anywhere within the main map boundary. I will need a photo showing your face to capture your likeness, along with a full-body photo that shows your stance and favourite outfit. We will then agree on approximate location within the map – and you will be added during the next maintenance period.

Business and larger additions – from £200

Businesses can add their premises, or perhaps a vehicle branded with logo and business name. We can also add images of people sailing in the Solent, driving their fantasy car, proposals on the beach, unbeatable birthday/anniversary surprise – or creative memorials for loved ones. We are only limited only by our imaginations!

So what’s next?
