The Buckland Graffiti project or street Art as it is more commonly known as these days was initiated by the council housing department who continuously had young people scrawling bad graffiti and rude words for the whole community to see along the stairwells on their council estate.

As soon as the council painted it all out in white (a blank canvas) the young people who hang about there would cover it all with a marker pen again.

So the council called us in to work with the young residents and come up with a street art project that not only involves them but more importantly gives them ownership of the project and encourages them to protect the new murals.

Our short film explains it much better than I can so take a look:)
